World Environment Day 2021

 

World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June every year across the world. This day is celebrated to raise awareness about environmental issues. In 1972 the United Nation’s General Assembly established the world environment day. 

After two years it was first celebrated in 1974 in the USA with the theme only one Earth. World Environment Day is celebrated annually with a new theme assigned by the United Nations. The theme of World Environment Day 2021 is Ecosystem Restoration. Ecosystem Restoration is the process of assisting the recovery of an ecosystem that has been degraded, damaged or destroyed.

This day is celebrated to raise awareness about environmental issues and work towards making it a better place to live in.

Through simple and small steps we together can make a big difference. One can contribute by planting trees, saving water and using less electricity. 

The condition of our planet is getting worse day by day because of pollution, deforestation and various activities. Everybody needs to understand that our life is possible only when the environment is clean and protected. Our small but positive steps will really help solving environmental issues in future.
